Official date set
The fifth edition of the Punta Cana Carnival has its official time and place: on Saturday march 10 2012 at the “November 1st” Boulevard which is located in Punta Cana Village.
An event, at which the participation of over a thousand “carnavaleros” around the country is expected, promises to show different cities’ best parades. There will also be an international presence, with troupes representing Aruba, Haiti, Puerto Rico and Curacao.
The culture and folklore of different parts of the country will be displayed during the parade, with bright colorful costumes and dances for the locals and tourists to enjoy. The Punta Cana Carnival is an event organized by the Punta Cana Group since 2008 and is an initiative of these entrepreneurs to promote tourism in Punta Cana.
