Samana Whale Watching Tour

Have you ever wanted to see a Humpback Whale splashing in the warm waters of the Caribbean? The Bay of Samana is one of the best whale watching places in the world! Every year hundreds of whales arrive in the warm waters of the Caribbean from the North Atlantic to make the Bay of Samana an inspiring experience for whale watchers. From January 20th to March 20th, there are approximately 300 of these magnificent creatures in the Bay. It’s the perfect time to visit!

The Quickest Way to Samana Bay

Enjoy a private plane ride from Punta Cana’s Airport to Samana’s Arroyo Barril Airport where you’ll be transported to Samana Bay for your whale watching adventure! Your excursion will also take you to the tropical island of Cayo Levantado where others have described it as paradise. You’ll have some free time to relax and revel in the gorgeous clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean with its pristine white sandy beaches.

Your Excursion Continues

Once you’re back from whale watching, you’ll be served a delicious lunch at a typical Dominican ranch. After a short rest, your adventure continues on horseback as you travel to the well-known Limon Waterfall. Everyone who visits the Dominican Republic must see this spectacular waterfall as it splashes down 52 meters from the mountain river. Make sure you have your camera!

Don’t miss this amazing tour as it is definitely an unforgettable experience! Whale watching, tropical beaches, and a magnificent waterfall are waiting just for you!

1 review for Samana Whale Watching from Punta Cana by Plane

  1. Jacquie

The conditions were nearly perfect leaving from Punta Cana. The sun was shining, and the winds were calm to Samana. We travel by water for a little over an hour and then saw a humpback whale. The whale appeared to be unconcerned with our boat and went on about his/or her business. It was awesome to see such an enormous creature so close to us and in a natural environment. The whale tour was the highlight of my entire trip to Punta Cana.
